Level-up with state of the art, industry-specific "business games" designed to develop and challenge your management skills
CIAM knows that students benefit from experiential learning. As such, we provide our students with real-world, hands-on experience across our courses. One of the ways we deliver experiential learning is through the use simulations. We incorporate technology into the student learning experience and immerse class-based concepts into computer simulation exercises. These content-based business games have been proven to help students strengthen their critical thinking and analytical skills.
A computer simulation is an attempt to model a real life or hypothetical situation. By changing variables in the simulation, predictions and forecasts may be made about the outcome. The simulation platform contains a set of built-in dashboards and reports which the student will review and use to make decisions.
Computer simulations are interactive and engaging tools which give our students opportunities to apply knowledge to real life scenarios. Due to their nature, they encourage students to contemplate the implications of a scenario and potential decisions. The situations that are presented feel real and lead to more engaging interaction by learners.
Simulations foster self-awareness about perceived skills and performance. And they also measure knowledge application and provide students with actionable feedback on ways to enhance their learning and application of knowledge.
“CIAM was very important because of their practical hands on approach to business education. If you want a business degree where you are just going to read a textbook, memorize a bunch of words, and build a glossary of terms, you would go to any other business program. But if you want a dynamic, living, learning environment, then you want CIAM.”
