The Board of Trustees is responsible for oversight of the California Institute of Advanced Management. The board adopts rules, regulations and policies governing the university.

Brigadier General Leonard Kwiatkowski, USAF, Ret. headed a number of space programs in the Air Force including Program Director of a major space communications program, the Military Satellite Communications Joint Program Office. He was Executive Vice President of Programs for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space Division, Deputy to the President of the Space Systems Company, VP and General Manager of the Global Communications Systems line of business and Director of Quality and Mission Success.

Mr. Shao is the founder and Chairman of Bright China Group, an investment group that operates in Los Angeles, Hong Kong and major cities around China. Through Bright China Group, Mr. Shao also heads the Peter F. Drucker Academy, a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to researching and teaching Drucker’s management ideas in China. The Peter F. Drucker Academy teaches in 32 cities in China and Hong Kong and has more than 50,000 graduates. Mr. Shao founded and provided the grant funding for the start of CIAM.

Francisco Suárez Hernández is the Director & General Manager of AdeS Latin America at Coca-Cola FEMSA. FEMSA is one of the largest corporations in Mexico, the largest beverage company in Latin America and the largest Coca Cola Bottling Company in the world in additional to many other operations. Prior to his present position, he was Director of Sustainability for FEMSA at the corporate level. He is a member of the Board of PLEI (International Student Leadership Program) of Tecnológico de Monterrey. He was recently elected President of the World Environment Center headquartered in Washington, DC

Danny Yu is the key executive in three NGOs. In 1980 he established Educational Services Exchange with China (ESEC), a non-profit organization for promoting Sino-American educational exchanges and training services. Its English training program has worked with China’s Ministry of Education and Academy of Sciences for the English training of thousands of overseas-bound government officials, scholars, scientists, professionals and business executives. Recently Dr. Yu developed new methods of student-centered learning which are being tested throughout China.

Dr. Steve Morgan served as president of the University of La Verne from 1985 until his retirement in June of 2011. In 2013 he was named the president of the University of the West. He retired from that position in June of 2018. Prior to his presidency at La Verne, Steve served as the Executive Director of Independent Colleges of Northern California, as a Director of Development at the University of Southern California and in a variety of administrative positions at La Verne.

Steve has been an active community member having served as a Director of the Los Angeles County Fair Association, the LeRoy Haynes Children’s Center, McKinley Children’s Center, Hillcrest Retirement Community, Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, and Bright Prospect. In addition, he has served as a Commissioner and Vice Chair of the WASC Senior College and University Commission, and as a member of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities.

Angela Robbiano is a native Californian, born and raised in Menlo Park and currently still residing in Menlo Park. Attended Sacred Heart Schools, K-High School and continued her education at Santa Clara University, earning a BS is Marketing, followed by an MBA. For 39 years, she was employed at Lockheed Martin in Finance and Business Operations. In addition, she enjoys supporting and serving organizations she is passionate about. She is currently the President of the Santa Clara Bronco Bench, responsible for raising scholarship funds for student athletes, and serves on the SCU School of Business Advisory Board. She is a committee member for fundraising activities for youth diabetes and Alzheimer’s. Angela volunteers at a non-profit serving underprivileged families in her local community. Her hobbies are tennis, golf, gardening, cooking, and baking.

Dr. Jack Liu serves as an affiliated faculty of the National Resource Center for Asian Languages (NRCAL) since 2014, one of 16 language resource centers funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Dr. Liu also serves on the editorial review board of the Transdisciplinary Journal of Management, a peer-reviewed academic management journal. Dr. Liu earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Purdue University in 2005, and his Certificate in Management from Purdue University in 2004. His research interests include International Education, Peter Drucker’s Management, and The Art of War and Management Strategies.

Outside of work, he is an avid tennis player and enjoys travel, reading, and film.
