Admissions:


  • When can I apply?

    CIAM has rolling admissions so there’s always a future term available if you meet the application deadline. Please visit our Calendars page for term start dates. Contact Admissions at 626.350.1500 or [email protected] for detailed instructions on how to apply!

  • What are the admission requirements?

    A Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 1-year of organizational experience. Visit Admissions Requirements to learn more or contact the Office of Admissions to learn how to apply.

  • How long does it take to hear back about acceptance to the program?

    The application process varies greatly and depends on multiple factors, such as document collection, ordering transcripts, and SEVP processing times (if applicable). Please contact your dedicated Admissions Counselors at (626) 350-1500 or email [email protected] for the most accurate estimates.

  • My work experience is less than a year. Can I still apply for the MBA program at CIAM?

    If your work experience is less than a year, please submit an admission petition to the Dean’s Office to request a waiver. The Academic Council may be involved for evaluation and recommendation, please contact Office of Admissions at [email protected] or call 1(626)-350-1500 for more information.

Courses, Credits, and Transfers:


  • What are the 12 courses in the MBA program?

    Please visit Program Courses or view the school catalog for course descriptions.

  • How long is each course?

    • For the 18-Month Full-time Program (Online MBA), each course is 5 weeks long. The term length is 11 weeks, with 2 courses offered per term (back to back) and a total of 4 terms per year.
    • For the 2-Year Full-time Program, each course is 16 weeks long. The term length is also 16 weeks, with 2 courses offered per term and a total of 3 terms per year.

    Note: There is usually with a week break in between terms.

  • I have never taken any business classes. Will I need to take pre-requisite courses before I begin my MBA at CIAM?

    CIAM does nto currently require pre-requisites for our business programs. Business classes or experience helps, but all students with a Bachelor’s degree in any major will learn all they need in order to succeed in the program.

  • What is the workload for each course?

    It varies; approximate 16 hours spent outside of lectures on average. Additional Readings: six (6) hours; Paper Assignment: Four (4) hours; Consulting Project: four (4) hours; Preparing for in-class presentations: one (1) hour; Discussions Forums: one (1) hour. The online material has references to textbooks, links, and educational videos that are time consuming.
